My Portfolio Over the years I have acquired many clients, some large companies, some small companies or individuals. In addition much of my focus has been pursuing my own business's and interests. This is not a complete list but an example of some of my best most recent or favorite work to date.
NotaryBids.com is my best work ever and the most recent site I have built for myself. There is a flash Intro on the home page I developed starting with the main image and I added custom music and animations as well. I designed the logo myself and most of the graphics you'll see on the site. The site uses cookies to save login info and there is a MS SQL database backend to manage all the data and dynamic content. The site is mainly used by the Real Estate industry to locate notaries nationally. Notaries can create and manage their accounts online by entering data in a form that uses a combination of ASP & Javascript for validation. They can also login to their accounts and update and view their data. In addition clients have the same functionality. The heart of the site is the notary search feature. Clients can enter a zip code, the zip code is checked against a 3rd party zip code database that retrieves the corresponding city, state and county and displays it to the client. The client selects the correct city and then is presented with a list of notaries to choose from. The client then completes an order form and a series of events occur that involves automated emails and text messages between the notary and client. The site also includes SSL (industry standard encryption), real time credit card processing and secure data capture. Future updates include a rating system between both parties.
LoanSignersInc.com was a former business of mine. It was a combined effort over 4 years of some of the most complex features available including cookies, dyamic database driven content, and "back end" functionality so all aspects of the business were capable of being managed with a web browser. The map you see on the home page was the starting point to locate a notary anywhere in the US. We had over 10,000 notaries that registered online and about 1500 clients. Some paid membership fees via secure real time credit card processing or PayPal subscriptions and other features were free. I developed a back end control panel to run the company. It had several layers of security for employee and management access. There were over 40 Icons that activated or opened any number of features from employee related functions to management reports, database management, real time statistics, creating new accounts, accounts payables, accounts receivables and much more. The site also had an affiliate sign up and login area we used to recruit interested parties in marketing our service. The business was shut down due to the decline of the Real Estate industry in 2007.
Ellen has been one of my favorite clients since approximately 2005. She was referred to me by a notary friend and needed a site to promote herself and her books. In additon, she wanted to dedicate a special part of her site to a project she calls 'Loving Bridget". Bridget is her grand daughter and a victim of a condition called Selective Mutism. Ellen uses part of her site to keep friends and family updated on Bridgets progress in her struggle with this condition. I feel furtunate to be involved in such a valiant and caring effort by her grand mother. Although it's a simple site some highlights include:
James or "Allen" as he prefers to be called came to me via LoanSignersInc.com. He signed up for my Web SiteNOW service back in 2006 and has been a great client ever since. He built most of the site himself although he needed some help cleaning up the code and getting things looking just right. In addition he was an affiliate of LoanSignersInc.com so I developed a special affiliate link he placed on his site to sign up customers under his account with LoanSignersInc.com.
WorshipToys.com is a mother and daughter faith based toy distributor team from Woodbury, New Jersey. Laura is a new client who recently chose my Web SiteNOW service to develop her site. Laura has an affiliate relationship with BlessedToys.com and although she gets a website with their package I recommended she invest in something to deliver a more personal message than what was available within the capabilities of their managed site. Since she was working with limited resources Laura chose her own template and wrote most of the content herself. However there was some touchups and suggestions I made to help make the site more appealing and interactive. Some of the highlights include:
